Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Federal Courts, Oversight, Agency Action, and Federal Rights Chairman Ted Cruz engages former FBI special agent Christopher O'Leary at a hearing on the Arctic Frost investigation on whether he was aware of any factual basis whatsoever that a dozen Senators would destroy evidence, with O'Leary responding he was not but non-disclosure orders are a routine part of investigations. Cruz pressed asking for any hypothetical fact, noting Jack Smith went into court and said Cruz would destroy evidence if he knew about the subpoena and this clown signed the order one after the other. Cruz argued he was a member of the bar and takes his obligations seriously, asking if it was consistent with DOJ obligation to ask a judge to violate the law and not inform the judge of it. He noted USC Section 628 explicitly bars non-disclosure orders applying to the Senate, yet in the lawless Department of Justice he assumes they did not tell Judge Boasberg they were asking him to violate the law.
