Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York says at a weekly press conference that Democrats had taken a massive step towards alleviating the problem of prescription drug pricing by empowering Medicare to directly negotiate prices for Part B and D, a deal for the build back better act that would directly reduce out-of-pocket drugs panic for millions of patients and out of pocket spending to 2,000 dollars a year, since a life changing diagnosis could mean thousands upon thousands of dollars in new expenses, the deal to reform the entire industry to stop price gouging and change both drug company and health insurance incentives to make sure the countries drug pricing system benefited patients and our corporations.
