Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York says at a weekly news conference outside the chamber in the US Capitol that Republicans could not support anything that would bring meaningful relief to American people and Republicans were the reason they were now staring down a health care emergency, and the choice was simple for them to vote with Democrats to keep costs down or vote to send premiums through the roof, and their proposal was the only realistic path left to prevent premiums from going up as it was clean straight extension of current law, and the Crapo-Cassidy bill would not extend the ACA tax credits for a single day.
