Several fire crews worked to extinguish a fire at an electrical substation north of Fort Worth, Texas, on the evening of Sunday, January 8, according to the https://x.com/FortWorthFire/status/1877438659915374770 Fort Worth Fire Department (FWFD). In a statement posted to X, FWFD said an "explosion" was reported at the substation on Wednesday evening. When fire crews from FWFD, Roanoke Fire Department, and Saginaw Texas Fire Department arrived they saw heavy fire and a large plume of smoke. FWFD said the fire required collaboration with https://www.oncor.com/content/oncorwww/us/en/home/about-us.html Oncor , the company that manage the substation, and fire personnel to determine the best course of "tactical action" for the safety of residents and first responders. It was determined crews would extinguish the fire rather than let it burn itself out overnight. "Crews worked in freezing temperatures through the night and well into the morning hours to make sure the fire was completely out and the scene was rendered safe," FWFD said.
