EASTERN TÜRKIYE - MAY 31: Several wild animals have been tracked by experts through the use of tracking devices, aiming to protect them and monitor their routines in northeastern Türkiye.Anadolu captured the moments of releasing animals equipped with tracking devices, back into the wild on Wednesday (May 31).KuzeyDoga Association, with the permission of the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, and the support of Igdir, Koc, and UTAH universities, continues its work on wildlife in northeastern cities of Türkiye, Igdir, Kars, and Ardahan, utilizing tracking devices.Stating that they have equipped tracking devices to over 200 animals, Emrah Coban, the Science Coordinator of KuzeyDoga Association, told Anadolu that " This is actually one of the best methods to understand wildlife."“Since we don't know how wild animals move and what they do at different times, we need more data to protect them. With satellite technology, we now have the opportunity to collect and utilize this data effectively.” he added.The animals equipped with tracking devices include wild bears, wolves, and the elusive lynx, which is a rare species.
