Television: 'Sharper' premiere: Red carpet interviews; ENGLAND: London: BFI Southbank: INT Benjamin Caron (Director) GVs Benjamin Caron red carpet interview SOT Q: What inspired you to make a film like this? Caron: There's been a great history of movies like this and going back to 'Sting' with Paul Newman and Robert Redford and more recently 'the colour of money' or 'Grifters'. I've also had a love affair with these kinds of films, these character driven movies and when I read the script I jumped at the chance to direct it. Q: Would you be open to do a sequel? Caron: I am open to anything, I'm a freelance director and it's always about writing, writing writing so I'm always looking to work with great writers, great scripts and great cast. Q This cast was incredible what was it like working with them? Coran: It's a dream come true. Julianne Moore is a producer and a star in the movie and I remember her from films like 'Boogie Nights', 'The Big Lebowski' and that was a dream come true. John Lithgow I worked with on the Crown and we stayed friends and I'm really glad there was a seat at the table for him and Sebastian, I've admired, we connected over the script, seeing him on the screen is amazing he's someone who is unpredictable, he vibrates. Justice Smith I knew a little bit about...*Justice Smith (Tom) appears by his side* Ah! This man! Well I can't talk about him now because he's literally right next to me. He's amazing and Briana Middleton who is at the start of her career, but I think after this film everyone will know the name.
