Tennessee Congresswoman and Former Pharmacist Diana Harshbarger says at a news conference on reforms aimed at pharmacy benefit managers contained in a FY26 consolidated appropriations package passed by Congress the day before that they had worked retail, hospital, compounded and sterile and when you were regulated to death it was the little patient who would suffer in the end when they could not get their medication, noting when you watched the insurance hearings they had on the health subcommittee the big five insurance companies could not answer questions about vertical integration which stifled competition.
