Congresswoman Harshbarger cites example of pharmacist unable to set budget not knowing how much would be taken back by Pharmacy Benefit Managers at news conference

Tennessee Congresswoman and Former Pharmacist Diana Harshbarger says at a news conference on reforms aimed at pharmacy benefit managers contained in a FY26 consolidated appropriations package passed by Congress the day before that they had to have follow up and accountability, giving an example of a pharmacist from New Mexico who emailed them about a contract showing different reimbursement amounts if DIR fees remained in place versus if they went away, questioning how you could legally do that when you could not even set a budget from month to month in your pharmacy because you did not know how much they would take back.
