Tennessee Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger says at a news conference on introduction of the Pharmacists Fight Back Act that pharmacy closure meant longer drives, fewer options and higher costs for people who already had too many barriers to care, and their bipartisan pharmacists fight back Act was changing that at its core, and this bill focused on three simple things including fairness to stop PBMs from manipulating pharmacy payments, choice to stop PBMs from steering patients away from their local pharmacies, and affordability to make sure patients not middle men were getting the savings, and PBMs negotiated massive rebates but often kept those dollars instead of lowering out of pocket costs.
