Congressman Crenshaw says funding ban concerns federal resources, not states' rights

Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw says in debate on his Do No Harm in Medicaid Act, which would prohibit Federal Medicaid funding for gender transition procedures for minors, that Democrats needed to have a quick civics lesson as they were talking about Federal funding and Medicaid funding provided by the Federal government, and so the Federal government could put restrictions on what that money was used for, and it was not a trampling of state's rights or doctors' rights, and his daughter was 2 and picked up his fake eyes and said eye, eye, eye and put it on, and maybe when she was old enough to talk maybe she would identify as somebody with one eye, and he asked should he take her to the doctor and say would they get rid of her eye because she identified as someone with one eye like her daddy, and they would call that insane, and the scary part about that strategy was it was a lot less troubling to lose an eye than it was to completely change gender.
