Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw says supporting his Do No Harm in Medicaid Act, which would prohibit Federal Medicaid funding for gender transition procedures for minors, that polls indicated that more than 70 percent of Americans supported a full ban on puberty blockers for minors, and he was not arguing with colleagues but pleading with them, and their constituents did not want children to undergo gender transformations and their constituents knew that kids were too young to understand the consequences of permanent physiological changes, and even if they were uncertain about that they did not want their tax dollars to pay for it which was all this bill did, and this debate was buried under gender affirming care and medical consensus and standard of care, but stripped away the language healthy children were being put on drugs sterilizing and altering their bodies before they were old enough to drink or vote or get a tattoo.
