The Basque Government acquires 8,000 drawings and documents by Cristóbal Balenciaga for the Getaria Museum
BILBAO, SPAIN - JANUARY 23: The Basque Government has acquired 8,362 drawings and documents by Cristóbal Balenciaga to create the first international public fund dedicated to the Gipuzkoan couturier at the Getaria Museum. The lot has been bought for 650,000 euros from its owner, the Italian designer Lorenzo Riva, who worked as artistic director of the firm Balenciaga.
