AL-​KHALIL, PALESTINE - JULY 06: The Israeli forces on Tuesday, July 6, dismantled the pipeline that supplies water to the Palestinians in the south of the occupied West Bank.A Palestinian local authority said Israeli forces made the pipeline unusable after claiming that the pipeline, which supplies water to about 500 Palestinians in the region, was unlicensed.Fuad al-Amur, the Coordinator of the Protection and Resistance Committee at Masafer Yatta, said Israeli forces raided the region."Israeli forces dismantled the pipeline carrying the water used by the people of the region during the raid on the Yatta region," he said.Al-Amur claimed that this is one of systematic intimidation policies implemented by the Israeli government."Israel is happy when it forcibly displaces the people, who live in the region, through oppression,” he added.Under the 1995 Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, was divided into three portions – Area A, B and C – with area C under administrative and security control of Israel until a final status agreement is reached with the Palestinians. International law views both the West Bank and East Jerusalem as occupied territories and considers all Jewish settlement-building activity there illegal.
