Olympic flame for 2026 Winter Games arrives in Italy
ROME, ITALY - DEC. 04, 2025: The Olympic flame for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games arrived in Italy on Thursday, Dec. 04, as Italian tennis player Jasmine Paolini and Organizing Committee President Giovanni Malago received the flame at Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport after its transfer from Athens.Ignited in ancient Olympia in accordance with tradition, the flame will begin a 63-day tour across Italy on December 6 before reaching Milan in February 2026.(Footage by Claudia Chieppa/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
