Roof Ripped Off Building as Storm Agnes Hits Ireland
The roof was ripped off a building in the seaside town of Youghal, County Cork, on September 27 as Storm Agnes hit the south of Ireland and tracked northeast towards the UK. Chloe Kenefick captured footage of the damage as thousands of homes in Cork were without power. Several areas of Ireland were under https://www.rte.ie/news/weather/2023/0926/1407333-storm-agnes/ orange alerts for strong winds, heavy rain, and potential flooding. The strongest gust of wind recorded was of 111 km/h (68 mph) at Sherkin Island, off the Cork coast.
