The storms were moving into the metro area and were expected to bring rain, more hail, lightning and strong winds through the rest of the afternoon and into the evening on Sep 6th. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for that area, including Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree until 4 p.m. The warning shifted east as the storms moved through, covering Castle Rock, Aurora and other areas along Interstate 25, until 4:45 p.m.27 sec video .
