The war in Ukraine has improved opinions about the LGBTQI community in the country, according to a manager of a shelter run by KyivPride.Jul Sirous and Olha Onipko help to run a shelter which provides temporary housing for LGBTQI refugees of the Ukraine war who have escaped regions of fighting.Shelter co-ordinator and education manager Olha, whose pronoun is she, told the PA news agency that people wrote in to KyivPride asking for a few hours or a few days of shelter as they moved across the country in search of safer pastures following the Russian invasion on this day last year.
