This is the moment a daredevil parachuted off the White Cliffs of Dover - casually saying "see you later" before jumping. The anonymous thrillseeker leapt off the iconic British landmark - which reaches a height of 350ft - last Friday (June 20). Passerby Daniel Stringer said he was on a walk on the Kent cliffs with some friends when the man asked them: "Want to watch me jump?". Mobile phone footage shows 38-year-old Mr Stringer and his pals wish the jumper "good luck, mate". The daredevil casually then casually says "see you later" before sprinting to the edge of the cliff and diving off - with one wide-eyed onlooker saying "f*** off". His parachute opens almost immediately - around two seconds after he jumps - and his feet touch the ground around just 13 seconds after they left the cliff. "I was out for a walk with a couple of mates," Mr Stringer, a welder from nearby Sandwich, said. "This bloke came up to us and said, 'I'm going to jump off here - this is what I do for fun'. "We put our thumbs up and he jumped off - it was mental. When he landed on the beach he put his thumb up, and that was it. "It would have taken him about 40 minutes to come back up. We waited for a bit but then we though we would be waiting for ages." Mr Stringer added that though he had posted the video on Dover pages on social media, he still has no idea who the mystery daredevil was. "He just said, 'Hey, lads, want to watch me jump off this cliff?'" Mr Stringer said. "It was just a mad moment. I was scared. I was like, 'Please be safe'. "He didn't have long to pull the parachute. It's not high enough. He probably shouldn't have done it, but all ended well. "He's safe and he's lived to tell the tale. He's got balls of steel. What a random thing to come across...
