'Gringo spokesman go to hell' says Maduro during rally in Venezuela

CARACAS, VENEZUELA - APRIL 13: Thousands of supporters of the government of Nicolás Maduro marched to the Government Palace to support the president and remember the failure of the coup against Hugo Chávez in 2002.Every April 13 in Venezuela the Day of the Rescue of National Dignity is commemorated.Addressing the rally outside the palace, Maduro said a “gringo” threat Venezuela to force the government to advance dialogues with the opposition, to “corrupt and sell-out sector of the Unitary Platform”.“They would retaliate and sanctions against our country. I told the gringo spokesperson "Gringo spokesman go to hell’. Because Venezuela is respected, we do not accept threats from the United States government.”“We are standing here by our own efforts and we will continue advancing by our own efforts,” the President added.Venezuela's president blamed the U.S. government for orchestrating a coup attempt against his country in 2019.In April 2002, there was a coup d'état against the government of Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. On April 11, a group of military officers and opposition leaders seized control of the government and detained Chávez.
