BOGOTA, COLOMBIA - MARCH 4: Thousands of thousands of people gathered to listen to the Presidential Candidate, Gustavo Petro at the Journalist Park in Bogota, Colombia on Friday (Mar. 4).The "Fiesta del Cambio" was held, an event carried out by the political movement (Historical Pact) on the occasion of closing its electoral campaign for a week of the legislative elections.The meeting was attended by the presidential candidates of the Historical Pact, Gustavo Petro, Francia Márquez, Camilo Ramírez, Arelis Uriana and Afredo Saade; In the same way, the candidates for the Congress of the Republic of this community attended.“The polls show that we are close to winning in the first presidential round. Never before in history have we been so close to a popular victory in two centuries of republican life,” said Gustavo Pedro during the rally.“It's no longer about asking Duque for a list of demands, now we say bye, Duque, you're leaving,” said Petro.He stressed that the presidency and the congress must change, governments and laws must be adjusted, noting that youth have a responsibility to lead the transformation. “Sometimes it is difficult to think alone and think, what am I getting myself into. I have the great responsibility of changing the history of Colombia,” added Petro. For his part, Gustavo Bolívar, Senator of the Republic of Colombia and candidate for the Colombia Humana party, said “Uribe (former President and current Senator and the most powerful man in the country in the last two decades) is the past we are the present.” He added that the surveys show half of the country is willing to make the change in the country.
