JAKARTA, INDONESIA - OCT. 20, 2024: Thousands people gathered at Bundaran Hotel Indonesia round about in Jakarta, Indonesia to welcome Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka after their innauguration at Indonesian Parliament.Prabowo Subianto took the oath Sunday as Indonesia’s eighth president, succeeding Joko Widodo's decade of rule.The inauguration ceremony was held in Jakarta with foreign dignitaries in attendance, according to the Jakarta Globe.Prabowo, who served as defense minister in Jokowi's Cabinet, was elected in February.He is scheduled to announce the names of his Cabinet ministers later Sunday.(Footage by Firdaus Wajidi /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
