Women pose as humorous police and firefighters in 1936 Pennsylvania

Title "Powder puff police and fire fighters" superimposed on a crowd of women / The 'police' descend stone steps, all wearing police uniforms, badges, and short shorts / One of the women directs traffic and writes out a ticket for an angry man / The traffic cop is boxed in by cars and a truck with several of the women descending on the scene, all waving their arms / Others pile into a "Upper Darby, Safety Car, Police" with two large loudspeakers on top / Women seated on a bench while another 'books' a suspect at an elevated desk; the head officer repeatedly pounds her gavel / The women stand around the criminal with a tie and suspenders and they proceed to beat him vigorously him with balloons (or pig bladders) / The bare-legged women dressed as firemen pile onto a firetruck and it drives past; some women run to hook up a fire hose to a fire hydrant with a marginal water spray as a result; they put out a fire / Note: exact day not known
