2020 Tokyo Olympic Games: Ben Maher interview; ***OLYMPIC RINGS VISIBLE - MAY BE SOLD FOR EDITORIAL PURPOSES ONLY*** JAPAN: Tokyo: EXT Ben Maher (Showjumper, Team GB) interview SOT Q: CONGRATULATIONS, HOW DOES IT FEEL WITH THAT MEDAL AROUND YOUR NECK - It doesn't feel real to be honest, everything happened so fast yesterday evening it's been a long time building up to this over the past eighteen months and we finished pretty late in our sport and then we're back up this morning; it won't be until I get home until things kick into reality Q: ON EXPLOSION (HIS HORSE) - I don't know, Explosion is an incredible horse, he's definitely probably the best rated horse in the world at the moment with results coming into this over the past couple of years it did bring a lot of added pressure, becomes almost a little bit expectant that he's going to produce on the right time, and our sport isn't like some of the other sports where you know what a personal best is and you achieve that, there are many different things that can affect the outcome / I put a lot down to him, I would be generous and say 70, 80 per cent is down to him, I'm only as good as my horse / I joke with the guy who looks after him for me 'just strap me on and press go on the SATNAV', he really is that good Q: YOU WERE TALKING LAST NIGHT ABOUT HOW HE WAS TALKING TO YOU DURING YOUR RIDE - I think talking to me in a different way, there's a feeling or a connection when we ride these horses that it's hard to explain to people who don't understand the sport, but when you're on the horse I understand everything that he's doing beneath me, he's a real athlete, very very fit and ready to go, and he's kind of in sync with me so when I think or go to make a move or ask for more speed or more angle, that's what created such a good partnership Q: HOW EXCITED ARE YOU FOR SATURDAY - I think there was a lot of pressure coming in; this gives me great confidence, we're on a good week this week as a team,...
