Historical artifacts from Bronze Age meet visitors in western Turkiye
IZMIR, TURKIYE - FEBRUARY 7: A total of seven artifacts about 5,000 years old are on display at the Treasury Hall of the Izmir Archaeology Museum, in Izmir, Turkiye on February 07, 2022.The artifacts, approximately 5,000 years old, found during the archaeological excavations at Hoyucek in Menemen, Limantepe in Urla and Bakla Tepe in Menderes were exhibited for the first time in the museum.It is evaluated that the human-faced pottery unearthed during the 2012 excavations from the Limantepe Mound, one of the works decorated with eyes, was used for the storage of sacred wheat.(Footage by Servet Ulku /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
