Suddenly there was a fearful rending and grinding. Everything went black. The really frightening thing was the vivid blue flashes. Much to my surprise I found myself sitting there. One foot was wedged. My friend had his foot wedged and thought his ribs were broken. I didn't realise it would hurt all'.Woman patient in bed: 'I am Miss Wallace of Wallingham. I was in the 5.18 Hayes train. Don't usually travel on it. The train was stopped in St. John's station. Next there was a blinding flash of blue light. I was on the floor with a seat for 3 on top of me and 2 men on the top of it. There was broken wood everywhere.'
