The warbler is a passerine bird of the Parulidae family. Also known as the Bahian warbler (Minas Gerais), leaf-turner (Rio de Janeiro), sebinho (Rio Grande do Sul), and southern warbler.It measures 10 centimeters long and weighs 7.5 grams. Its colors are spectacular, due to the contrast between the bright yellow of the belly, the orange of the chest, and the bluish-gray of the back. The area around the eyes is strikingly black, as are the two white stripes on the wings and the white on the outer tail feathers. It also has a white crest and a light-colored mandible. In the middle of its back, it has a greenish triangular area, visible in good light and when the bird uses this area during its somersaults in search of food.
