Diver Frees Shark Trapped in Fishing Line

Two divers had their hands full recently when they freed a Port Jackson shark that had become trapped by a fishing line. Video posted by Jules Casey, who frequently posts underwater footage to her OneBreathDiver https://www.instagram.com/onebreathdiver/ Instagram account , shows her and another diver catch the shark before Casey frees it with a line cutter. 'My buddy spotted this shark needing our assistance. I was filming as she pointed into the distance. As soon as I noticed what she was pointing at I put the camera down and began to assist in the rescue,' Casey told Storyful. 'I always carry a titanium line cutter and stainless steel pliers for removing hooks. I've lost count of how many rescues we've done together. We each know our role in a rescue and with minimal communication needed we are able to quickly release the animal causing as little stress as possible,' she said. 'This Port Jackson shark seemed very happy to be released as it circled around us and came back as if to say 'thank you' by kissing my hand.' (Footage by Jules Casey/Storyful via Getty Images UGC)
