Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders says in a floor speech questioning advancement for society of artificial intelligence that it was not great politics for any government or governmental leader to have large numbers of young people coming home in body bags, and what did the future look like if millions of robot soldiers replaced human soldiers, and would leaders be more likely to engage in war or threaten military actions if they did not have to worry about loss of life, and some remembered the scene in that great 1968 science fiction film 2001 A Space Odyssey in which Hal the superintelligent computer rebelled, and that Doctor Geoffrey Hinton the godfather of AI recently told him it was only a matter of time before AI became smarter than human beings.
