World’s oldest woman, aged 116, has appetite for 100 pieces of chocolate
Video footage taken in Fukuoka on March 9 shows 116-year-old Kane Tanaka eating a strawberry-topped cake at a ceremony recognizing her as the world’s oldest living person. Tanaka, who raised eight children while running a “mochi” rice cake shop in her native Fukuoka, is known to have a sweet tooth. Asked how many pieces of chocolate she wants to eat, she said she wanted a hundred. Tanaka received a certificate from Guinness World Records at the nursing home where she resides.
