Vnukovo International Airport was crowded with hundreds of supporters who were welcoming Alexei Navalny's return from Berlin on Sunday, January 17. Russian police made several detentions and cleared out supporters. On 20 August 2020, Navalny was hospitalized and left in a serious condition after a Novichok poisoning during a flight, transported to Berlin on a medical evacuation flight, and discharged.
