Congressman Heck opposes bill reforming Dodd-Frank finance law
Washington state Congressman Denny Heck says he would regrettably vote no on the bill despite his belief local banks and credit unions were struggling under the weight of regulations and rules need to be fixed, but the bill could not release the pressure small banks were under, that money laundering regulatory burdens were not addressed and an insurance provision would go against his goal of returning power to state consumer protection regulators.
