Television: 'Wednesday': Jenna Ortega and Joanna Lumley interview; ENGLAND: London: Westminster: EXT Jenna Ortega ('Wednesday Addams') and Dame Joanna Lumley ('Hester Frump') interview SOT - (Ortega) I think we've been so so immensely lucky with the audience that we've had / we made the show and we didn't really anticipate anybody paying attention at all / so the fact that we've been able to resonate with such a wide variety of people and for people to still be excited this many years later is really, really wonderful and we're just so appreciative / we know we took longer than most would have liked - (Lumley) Had not seen the program before / hardly gets to see television / all it required was for Tim Burton to say 'will you' and before he finished the sentence I said yes. I adore him I think he's brilliant but also I did have the reverberations of series one / it had taken hold in a way that's quite rare for for something that has existed for so long / The Addams Family has been around for a long time / but this new incarnation, and with Wednesday, this is the superpower, this little one here (points at Ortega) / absolutely extraordinary / and to play her grandmother is a great thrill / I'm hoping for good things for this little one - Ortega would storm being in Absolutely Fabulous / Edina would be very keen to represent her and Patsy would feel she was a pretty cool person to have around (laughs) - (Ortega) No way, no way - (Ortega) Easiest thing about playing Wednesday is maybe you know I feel most people when they have conversations feel they have to laugh or have additional expression to comfort the other person / nice not to have to worry about other people or satisfying other people / hardest is focus it takes to remain still, not blink and shift posture; your whole body has to be quite tense yet relaxed at the same time / any time I do a take and I'm falling out of it I know it's because I've started to slack a little bit physically.
