William Hague interview; ENGLAND: London:INT William Hague MP (Foreign Secretary) interview SOT- We raised this [investigation into Yvonne Fletcher murder] in May with the NTC, it will be a priority for us in our relations with the new Libyan government / Of course we have to give them some time to establish order and security in Tripoli but we in the Foreign Office will give full diplomatic support to the police in conducting investigations including Libya then we will have to see of course where those investigations lead- As I've seen it they've always been open to co-operation on this issue .. though of course from time to time different members of a different government that isn't fully formed yet do say different things - Always hopeful [that killer of WPC Fletcher will be brought to justice] but it's been a long protracted investigation / There may be new opportunities to pursue that investigation / Can't pre-judge what that might lead to- [On rumours that SAS are in Libya] We don't ever comment on operations or whereabouts of special forces but I would stress that this is a Metropolitan Police matter- There are encouraging signs from the NTC to get things going, to improve humanitarian situation to establish a degree of order, they did this in Benghazi / Encouraging signs in Tripoli / We want this to be a Libyan led process - It's right to give them that chance, to say here is your opportunity to lay down your arms, but clearly if they don't do that they will then be attacked by the Free Libya forces, so this is the time for the forces loyal to the remnants of the Gaddafi regime to say they're now in a hopeless situation and should bring this matter to an end- We do hope the Algerians will listen to representations from Libya, the Libyans will have to put forwards a judicial case .. but of course we will support them in seeking justice for their country- It is a matter for Libya [missing prisoners] but it does illustrate the criminal an...
