Wisconsin Congressman Tony Wied says in House floor remarks that on the occasion of January as National Blood Donor Month that while someone requires a blood transfusion every two seconds in the United States, the blood supply remains critically low, and he introduced the Boosting Life-Saving Operations Opening Donation Centers Act alongside Congresswoman Kim Schrier to streamline bureaucratic burdens of opening new blood centers while ensuring oversight and safety.
