Woman Rescues Tiny Spotted Ray Found Washed Up on Cornwall Beach

A woman in Cornwall, England, saved a small https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife-explorer/marine/fish-sharks-skates-and-rays/spotted-ray spotted ray that had washed up onto the shore of a local beach on March 6. Footage by https://www.facebook.com/groups/newquayweb/posts/10159751061694839/ Kerryn Groves shows the tiny sea creature lying on the sand and pebbles on Porth Beach as it struggled to breathe. Groves can be seen gently pushing the ray back into the sea with her finger. Groves wrote in a Facebook post that she was "over the moon to find this little one on Porth Beach today." She said that she "thought it was dead" until it moved its mouth and tail, which prompted her to flip it over so "it could find the tide that was coming in."
